A limerick' a verse that is singable
(If the diction's not flagrantly flingable),
Brings a humorous note
To a view you'd promote --
And it rings, like a bell ding-alingable.

EXPLANATION:
The lyrics describe an imaginary workshop conducted by Leigh Mercer, during which the iconic canal palindrome is almost invented.
